Irvine Valley's women's volleyball team took on some of the best team's in the country Friday and Saturday at the Laser beach facility.
IVC dropped all four matches, 5-0, but battled against Oregon for a pair of contests on Friday and then took on No. 14 ranked Long Beach State and then No. 11 Cal on Saturday.
Irvine Valley's No. 1 team of freshjan Tasha Mae and Jolie Rasmussen went to three sets with Oregon in the second match.
And on the No. 3 court, freshmen Barett Nolan and Chloe Swanson also pushed to a third set,
On Saturday, IVC took on #14 Long Beach State and then #11 Cal.
Irvine Valley's No. 3 team of freshmen Jaclyn Sanchez and Emily Guenter lost in three sets, 15-10, in the third to the Shark team of Savannah Lyons and Sydney Stevens.
And in the match against Cal, the No. 1 pair of Rasmussen and Mae went three sets and down to the wire with Cal's Ainsley Radell and Ava Mann before falling, 21-11, 16-21, 15-13.
