The San Bernardino Valley College baseball team pounded out 20 hits - including seven for extra bases - as the Wolverines rallied back from an early 3-0 deficit to beat Victor Valley College in an Inland Empire Athletic Conference game Thursday.

SBVC gave up three runs after two were out in the top of the second, but scored five of their own with two outs in the bottom half of the inning to take control of the game. David Melton singled home Kaleb Castro to open the scoring, and Alexander Jurado followed with a double down the left field line to score Melton. Cy Robertson singled, moving Jurado to third. Jurado scored after a pick-off throw to first got away, allowing Robertson to make his way to third, from where he would score on a single by Michael McQueen. Nathan Campos-Jaramillo followed with the first of his two doubles on the day to score McQueen, giving the Wolverines a 5-3 they would not lose.

Jaramillo led the SBVC offense, going 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs batted in and a run scored. McQueen was 1-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored, thanks to drawing three walks. Melton was 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored, and Jason Del Villar came in late and was 2-for-2 - both doubles - and three RBI.

Starter Daniel Cano was credited with the win, striking out three in three innings and allowing three unearned runs.
