Falcons roll past Beavers, 13-6

In game two of their series at ARC on Saturday, the Falcons relied on stellar pitching through the first seven innings and an opportunistic offensive that scored four unearned runs on four Beaver errors to take a 5-0 lead after seven innings.  The final two innings turned into a hit parade for both teams, with the Falcons scoring 8 runs on 8 hits while the Beavers scored 6 runs on 6 hits for a final score of 13-6.  Falcon starter Gabe Emmett went four innings while giving up just two hits.  He was followed by Brian Mueller (1 inning), Jordan Forrester (1 inning), and Will Jacobson (1 inning), none of whom allowed a single hit.  In the eighth inning, the Falcons strung together five singles and a walk to score four runs and break the game open, 9-0.  After the Beavers answered with three runs, the Falcons tacked on four more in the ninth to put the game away.  Isaiah Lissade again led the Falcons' offense – this time in the leadoff spot – with four hits and three RBI.  Sophomore Garrett Bugarin had three hits and three RBI, while freshman Chad Leonard contributed two hits, two RBI and scored twice.
