Citrus College kept its bat hot but came up short in a 7-5 loss at Antelope Valley College Saturday.
The Owls slip to 5-16 on the year and 1-5 in Western State Conference-South action, while the Marauders improve to 9-12 overall and 2-4 in conference with the series victory.
Five Owls finished the game with multiple hits: Aaron Martinez (2-for-5), Jordan Sheridan (2-for-4), Nicholas Santiago (2-for-3), Michael Roque (2-for-5) and Diego Gonzales (2-for-4).
Citrus heads to LA Valley on Tuesday, weather permitting, for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
