SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer home opener versus Reedley College ended in a draw on Friday afternoon. | BOX SCORE
Cynthia Ramirez put the Bulldogs (1-0-1) on the board first with a successful penalty kick attempt in the 9th minute of action. The Tigers (2-0-1) brought the game to a tie after converting on a throw-in at the 26th minute before taking the lead with another goal in the 47th. Ramirez came through for the home squad once more in the 76th minute after placing a pass from Hayde Gallardo through the goal, but neither team managed to regain the advantage before time expired.
Ramirez and Kaihla Lopez led the offensive effort with four shots apiece and combined for three attempts on frame. Ally Britt and Maya Mendek each spent one half in the box for AHC, both allowing one goal and collecting four saves.
The Bulldogs are set to return to action on September 6th with a road trip to Cabrillo College.
