Designated hitter Byran Vichot (2-for-4) led the Tartars in hits for the game, along with one of the three RBI's. The Tartars accumulated a total of seven hits but left four players in scoring position.
After scoring three runs in the first four innings the Tartars were not able to score to keep up with the hot bats of the visiting Griffins. Relief pitcher Rene Galvan collected two strikeouts and two scoreless innings to lead the Tartars pitchers.
UP NEXT: The Tartars will be on the road next on Tuesday, February 8TH against College of the Desert. First pitch is scheduled for 2pm.
