SANTA MARIA – The SBCC baseball team had its three-game win streak snapped in the second game of its series with Allan Hancock, falling to the Bulldogs 11-4 on the road on Friday.

After going down 2-0 early, the Vaqueros got on the board with two runs of their own in the top of the fifth. Tyler Imbach opened the inning with a single through the left side. Gabe Baldavino walked and Matty Fung singled through the right to load the bases.

Mark Hernandez earned an RBI on a hit by pitch and Haimovitz notched a sacrifice fly RBI as Imbach and Baldavino scored SBCC's first two runs of the day.

A big bottom half of the fifth would put the Bulldogs ahead for good, as the home side racked up seven hits for five runs to take a 7-2 lead.

Allan Hancock added to its lead with two more runs in each of the next two innings. The Vaqueros fought back late, starting strong in the top of the eighth. Nick Seyler led off with a single through the left side and Owen Crevelt followed with a two-run homer, but that would be the final damage of the day by either offense.
