Womens Soccer Comeback Falls Short at Moorpark

MOORPARK, Calif. - The El Camino College women's soccer team comeback attempt came up short in a 2-1 loss on Friday afternoon at Moorpark.

The Raiders (4-0) took an early in the first half of the game.  They doubled their advantage in the 66th minute. The Warriors (1-4) were able to peg one goal back with 13 minutes left to play in the game.

Monica Bernardino scored to make it a 2-1 game in the 77th minute.  She was assisted by Melisia Medina on the goal.  

Joelle Niimi started in net for the Warriors and was credited with four saves on six shots on goal.  The Warriors were able to tally five shots on goal and forced the Moorpark goalkeeper into four saves.  

The Warriors continue their 4-game road slate with a tilt at Irvine Valley College next Friday, September 20th.  Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
