Eight-run 4th inning carries Falcons past Sierra

An offensive explosion that produced eight runs in one inning carried the FLC baseball team to a 10-7 win over Sierra on Tuesday afternoon in Rocklin.  The Falcons strung together six hits, a walk, and a hit batter - highlighted by Jeff Bauser's two-run double - to take an 8-0 lead in the fourth inning.  The Wolverines, however, didn't just roll over; they chased Falcon starter Carter Delaney with four runs in the sixth, then added three more in the eighth off Will Jacobson to make it 9-7.  The Falcons added an insurance run in the ninth on Logan Sutter's RBI single before Cole Tremain closed out the ninth for his sixth save of the season.  Delaney pitched just well enought to earn his fifth win of the season.
