SAC Women’s Soccer Sends off Sophomores in Final Home Match of the Year

SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Santa Ana Women's Soccer team celebrated its sophomores before its last home match of the season on Friday afternoon. This year's sophomore class included goalkeeper Jasmine Garcia, defender Jasmine Morales, midfielder Amy Enciso and defender Jewel Campos.

Following a brief ceremony, the Dons (3-9-5, 1-7-4) took the field against the No. 6 ranked Cypress Chargers (14-2-1, 9-1-2) in Orange Empire Conference action.

In the first half, Santa Ana's defense looked sharp as they held the Chargers scoreless right up until the 45th minute of the half.

But the Chargers quickly began to create separation as they scored two more goals in the first three minutes of the second half, giving them a 3-0 which would be the final score.

SAC will continue its season on Tuesday against Irvine Valley (1-16-3, 0-10-2) and then play their final match of the year at Orange Coast (7-10-3, 2-8-2) on Friday.
