Rams continue unbeaten start with 4-0 win over Cerritos

The City College of San Francisco women's soccer team cruised to its third straight win to open the season, this time beating visiting Cerritos College by a final score of 4-0 on Saturday.

The Rams have shutouts in two of their victories and have outscored their opponents by a 17-2 margin.

Freshman Iliana Sanchez scored twice today to give her a share of the team-lead with four on the season. Sanchez and Leslie Murillo connected on goals in the fourth and 24th minute to give CCSF a 2-0 lead.

Grace Motuapuaka scored in the 41st minute off the assist from Megan Delillo to send the Rams into halftime with a 3-0 advantage. And in the second half, Murillo collected her third assist of the game, feeding Gabriella Rodil for a goal in the 70th minute.

Alexia Estrada made two saves in goal for the Rams to earn the shutout.

The Rams will look to make it four consecutive wins when they return to action on Wednesday (Sep. 15) to host Lake Tahoe Community College in a 3 p.m. non-conference game.
