Oxnard College was poised going to play number three ranked Fullerton College on Tuesday afternoon.  After a convincing 5-1 win at home against College of the Desert, the Condors traveled to take on the Orange Empire Conference champions.

From the outset, Oxnard possessed the ball and controlled the pace of play.  The hard small field was a challenge for the Condors, with the fans sitting right on the sidelines, they remained focused.  Sophomores Noah Dollenmayer, Adrian Moreno, and Michael Delgado bottled up the Hornet forwards.  Miguel Lopez, Luis Juarez, Jose Suazo, Aristeo Jimenez and Jose Olea controlled the center, while Erik Lopez and David Garcia tallied the Condor goals.

Freshman goalkeeper Salvador Perez played one of his best games of the year to earn the shutout (https://www.instagram.com/p/B5WUaDSA3YZ/). Perez turned away the Hornets, despite a late push by the Fullerton offense.  "He had some great saves today," replied Assistant Coach, Bryan Hill.  "He made a play on a tough shot across the goal at a huge moment in the game."

"…this is a tough place to play and win against a very talented Fullerton team," said Coach Ross Greaney after the game. Indeed with 7 Hornet players named all-conference in the OEC, and an 8-1-1 record at home, Oxnard proved they are a force in the CCCAA playoffs.

The 2-0 result will propel OC to round three, against either number two-ranked Cerritos College (last year's state champion) or number seven-ranked Golden West College (last year's runner-up).

The game will be held on Saturday, November 30th at either Cerritos College or Oxnard College, at 2:00 pm.
