Baseball Falls to Moorpark At Home

Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College Baseball team fell to 0-2 on the season after falling to Moorpark at home on Saturday evening, 7-5.

The game remained scoreless until Moorpark blew open a 5-run lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. They added two more in the sixth to extend the commanding margin to 7-0.

BC came alive in the top of the eighth when they scored five, but that's where the offense stopped and Moorpark took home the win.

Leading the Renegades at the plate tonight was Jacob Baker going two for three with two with one run scored, an RBI and two stolen bases.

Taking the loss on the mound for the Renegades was Benji Caggianelli who went four and one third innings with seven strikeouts and five runs given up. Mason Moccardini, Carlos Lopez and Roman Rubio all saw time on the mound in the game as well.
