Tartars put on a hitting display to beat Imperial Valley College 20-8

The Compton College Tartats Men's baseball team put on a sensational hitting display to beat Imperial Valley College 20-8

The Tartars wasted no time as they got off to a quick start by getting five runs in the first inning of play. The game was an overall team display of everyone getting hot at the right time. Tartar players Jagger RafkinMichael HeardBryan VichotAndy Perez all had three RBI's each, which was an example of how well rounded the team was against Imperial Valley College Arabs.

After getting out to a fast start the Arabs showed resilience as they tied the game in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 6-6. Relief pitcher Michael Fletcher was able to cool off the Arabs bats as he pitched two pivotal scoreless innings for the Tartars to regain momentum of the game. In the seventh and eighth inning, the Tartars would light up the scoreboard once again by accumulation 13 runs in the last two innings of the game. The Tartars have one more game before conference play starts and are hitting their stride at the right time. 

UP NEXT: The Tartars will be back on the diamond Saturday February 26th, as they will be on the road in a rematch game against San Bernardino Valley College. First pitch is scheduled for 12pm.
