The last time the Cerritos College women's soccer team was outscored in a game was a 1-0 3rd Round Southern California Regional Playoff game in 2017. The Falcons, who had gone 23-0-1 since then, were defeated by Lake Tahoe College on Friday, 4-0. It was the most goals allowed in a game since a 4-2 setback against Pasadena City College in 2012. The team would go on to win the first of five straight CCCAA State Championships that season. The team will look to rebound on Sunday in an 11:00 a.m. game at West Valley College.

The Coyotes (4-0-1), who entered the season ranked #4 in the country after ending last year ranked #3 in the country, put two goals in the back of the net in each half. Lake Tahoe scored in the 10th minute and then added a second goal in the 22nd minute and never looked back. They received two goals and an assist from Alexandra Trinidad.

On the day, the Falcons (1-1) had 14 total shots with five of them on goal.
