Oroville, Calif. - Sophomore Allison Brott netted her second goal of the season, but the Butte women's soccer team came up short against Diablo Valley, 4-1, on Friday afternoon.
Brott counted her score in the 60th minute from an assist by freshman Faith Burnett.
In the goal, sophomore Kathleen Howard earned three saves in the complete-match appearance.
Butte (1-2-0) returns to play at home, hosting American River on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m.
