SAC Volleyball Falls to IVC in OEC Play

SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Santa Ana Women's Volleyball team fell to No. 19 Irvine Valley (8-3, 4-2) by a score of 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-12) in Friday's Orange Empire Conference match. 

The Dons (5-8, 0-6) battled but were outmatched as IVC was on top from start to finish. 

Santa Ana's Kassandra Zavala led the Dons with a team high five kills while holding her own at the net with five block assists to go with four digs. 

Jaiden Silver and Adamaris Gomez finished right behind her, combining for seven kills. 

Setter Kaiden Raif recorded 12 assists, six digs and an ace while libero Angela Hill posted a team high 11 digs and an ace of her own. 

The Dons have another chance to get back on track as they travel to Fullerton for another OEC matchup on Wednesday night. The Hornets won a five set nail bitter over Golden West in their last match.
