Badminton Defeats East Los Angeles

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College scored an 18-3 South Coast Conference win over visiting East Los Angeles on Friday afternoon at the ECC Gym Complex.

Marlene Ruiz scored a big victory as she defeated the Huskies' number one player in two close games.

Allison Sibley was perfect on the day, winning her singles match while also scoring two doubles victories with partner Karlee Clark.

Clark also won both of her singles matches as was Anh Ly to help power the Warriors to a dominant result.

The team will return to action on Monday afternoon for a road contest at Pasadena. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
