MARAUDERS SCORE 7 RUNS IN THE 8TH INNING IN COMEBACK WIN OVER BAKERSFIELD

Antelope Valley Baseball has won three of their last four games with a 12-7 victory over the Bakersfield Renegades.
After a scoreless 1st inning, Bakersfield got on the board first with a run in the 2nd. AVC responded in the 2nd inning when Nathan Duarte hit a double to score Colin Hagen, and William Joseph hit an RBI single.
Up by a run, the Marauders gave up a combined 5 runs in the 6th and 7th innings, two of them unearned. They pulled within a run in the bottom of the 7th with 1 run unearned and an RBI groundout by Mason Johnson. The Renegades came back to score a run in the 8th and take a two-run lead.
AVC then put together a big rally in the 8th inning, starting with a 2-RBI single from Zach Terry. Both Ariv Camacho and William Joseph hit RBI singles to give AVC a two-run lead. Nate Scott then added the dagger with a 3-RBI home run. Scott finished with 5 RBI on the day has a team-high 8 home runs and 37 RBI on the season.
Joseph (2 hits) and Terry (1 hit) finished with 2 RBI each, while DH Nathan Duarte and Ariv Camacho each recorded an RBI with 2 hits apiece. Mason Johnson finished 3-for-5 with 1 RBI.
Sam Maudsley got the win on the mound for AVC with no earned runs in 2 innings of relief. Starter Matt Toledo went 6 innings with 1 earned run. The Marauders are 12-12 and will play at Bakersfield on 3/31 before returning home to complete the series against the Renegades on 4/2.
