Grossmont College softball fell short against Santiago Canyon College 3-2 on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.

Tuesday's game against Santiago Canyon was a heartbreaker for Grossmont College, as the Griffins lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat. 

The game was tied at one with Santiago Canyon batting in the top of the fifth, when an error scored two runs for the Hawks.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Santiago Canyon pitchers struck out six, while Grossmont College struck out one.

The Griffin at bats struggled against the Santiago Canyon pitcher. Griffins warmed 5 hits in 7 innings and scored 2 with Olson at bat.

Olson led Grossmont with two hits in three at bats with two fielders to left center.
