SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's basketball dropped a home showing versus No. 10 ranked Ventura College on Tuesday afternoon in a 2-0 decision. | BOX SCORE
The Pirates (9-2-1, 3-0 WSC) notched their first goal in the 31st minute and closed the scoring in the 47th minute. Hancock (3-5-1, 1-1 WSC) was outshot at a hefty 19-7 margin in the contest, with Ventura placing 10 on frame and the Bulldogs putting just two on target. The Pirates also held a 6-1 advantage on corner kicks.
Heleen Mott and Brianna Gaona each registered one shot on frame apiece. Ally Britt collected eight saves in the contest by was charged with the loss in the box after 90 minutes of play.
The Bulldogs are set to continue league action on Friday, October 8th, with a trip to Cuesta College. Action is scheduled to begin at 4 PM at the Cuesta Soccer Field.
