The Cosumnes River College softball team swept Folsom Lake on Friday 6-5 and the second game 10-5. Aliah Cisneros (Tokay HS/Stockton, CA) led the way offensively for the Hawks while Becky Pedersen (Ukiah HS, Ukiah, CA) and Audrey Brookins (Liberty Ranch HS, Galt, CA) earned the wins in the circle.

In the first game, a six-run 4th inning proved to be enough for the Hawks. Cisneros and Danielle Pfennig (Lodi HS/Lodi, CA) led the offensive charge tallying two hits a piece in the contest. Pedersen started the game, going three innings with two strikeouts and one earned run. Pfennig pitched the final four innings striking out one batter and earning the save for the game. 

In game two, the Hawks scored in five of the seven innings for a total of ten runs along with 12 hits in the game. Cisneros notched a single and a double with four RBI's in the game for the Hawks. Pfennig and Leandra Coronado (Monterey Trail HS/Elk Grove, CA) also had extra base hits in the game. Audrey Brookins (Liberty Ranch HS, Galt, CA) pitched 6.1 innings in relief for the Hawks giving up only 2 runs while striking out four batters.
