The Lancers got off to a quick start as they scored two runs in the first  and second inning to get out to a 4-0 lead. The Tartars got their lone run from third baseman Crixtian Taveras (1-4) who would get the RBI hit in the eighth inning. This would cut the lead to 5-1 unfortunately the Tartars would not get any closer in the game as they were not able to get the timely hits.

First baseman Bryan Vichot continues to be on a hot streak as he had three hits in four at bats. He currently has a team high batting average of .379 in conference play. The Tartars will look to respond on Tuesday as they will be facing conference rival El Camino College Warriors.
