Pirates fly past Jets, 8-0

SAN DIEGO -- The Orange Coast College women's soccer team found its offensive touch on Wednesday at Miramar College and routed the host Jets, 8-0, in a nonconference matchup.

Lilly Carroll scored three goals and added an assist for the Pirates (3-1-1), while Haley Rae and Eden Makaafi each added two goals to provide more than enough offensive support against the winless Jets (0-3).

After opening the season with an impressive 5-0 home win against L.A. Harbor, Coast is now in the of a midst of eight straight road matchups. Coast will not compete at home until Friday, Oct. 1 against Saddleback (3 p.m.).
