The FC baseball team took an 11-3 non-conference loss at home Saturday afternoon verses San Diego Mesa.
Despite out-hitting the Olympians 11-9, Fullerton did not have enough in the tank to pull the game out.
Mesa went up 2-0 in the 2nd inning, and then dropped another three runs in the 5th. Fullerton knocked in two runs in the 5th, and both clubs put up a run apiece in the 7th.
Down 6-3 heading into the top of the 9th, the wheels fell off for the Hornets as the Olympians posted five runs to seal the game.
Four FC batters had multiple hits in Elias Rios (2), Jack Janes (2), Ryan Lamastra (2), and Tony Accordino (2).
Up Next: The Hornets (4-7 overall) hit the road on Tuesday, February 18th when they face off against Chaffey College for another non-conference matchup. Game time is at 2:00 pm.
