Softball Captures Pair of Wins over Chabot

Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano softball team wrapped non-conference play with a pair of wins over Chabot, 9-4 and 15-5 (five innings), on Friday afternoon.

In game one, four Falcons tallied multi-hit games, led by freshmen Kristy Regalado and Naiya Watts, who both earned doubles. Regalado went 2-for-3 with a run, while Watts went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored.

And in game two, freshman Kourtney Patrick went a perfect 2-for-2 with a double, two runs, and two RBI. Freshman Bianca Belo-Diaz was close behind with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate and also counting a pair of RBI. Freshman Alexis Certeza batted in three runs with a 1-for-1 outing.

Freshmen Maleah Martinez and Kiera Edwards both threw complete games in the circle. Martinez scattered a pair of hits, while tallying 15 strikeouts without allowing an earned run. Edwards allowed four hits and only one earned run.

Solano (6-14) open conference play on Tuesday, Mar. 22, heading to Los Medanos for a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
