Tartars lose a close game to the Roadrunners

The Compton College Tartats Men's baseball team comes up short 4-3 to the vision College of the Desert Roadrunners

After a previous record breaking game Julian Berinti had another strong starting outing for the Tartars. Starting pitcher Berinti had five innings pitched with only two runs scored. The Tartars got a lift from right fielder Jagger Rafkin (2-4) as he scored twice, and had an RBI. Sophomore first baseman Michael Heard was also (2-4) from the plate with one RBI. 

Although the Tartars outhit the Roadrunners seven to six, their fielding was a hindrance to them coming up on the losing end as the team had three errors. The Tartars closed the scoring margin to one at the end of the seventh inning, but was not able to score again. The Tartars played tough throughout the game and improvements are being noticed by the fans.

UP NEXT: The Tartars will be back on the diamond Saturday February 24th, as they will host Imperial Valley College. First pitch is scheduled for 2pm.
