W. VOLLEYBALL: HORNETS TAKE DOWN TIGERS IN FOUR

The FC women's volleyball squad hosted Orange Empire Conference rival Riverside City College on Wednesday and brought down the Tigers 3-1.

In the first set, Fullerton went up early with a 2-9 lead. McKenna Mokry's kill helped FC with a healthy 14-21 lead as FC went on to finish it 17-25.

The Hornets went down 3-0 in the second set but fought back as Faith Webb's kill tied it up at 4-4. From there, Fullerton took over grabbing a 7-14 lead, on another Webb kill, before winning the game 18-25.

The third set was a bit of a battle as FC and RCC went back-and-forth to an 11-11 tie. The Tigers clawed ahead taking a 20-14 lead and eventually won set three 25-21.

In the fourth and final set, the Hornets did not waste any time in grabbing a 3-7 edge. Webb hammered down one of her 11 kills putting FC up 7-13. Riverside did not go away quietly fighting to get back in the game 19-21, but the Fullerton held strong taking the set and match 19-25.
