Late inning struggles don't add up for the GCC Baseball Team as they dropped a 9-7 decision to Palomar College Friday in San Marcos to fall to 3-2 overall this season. Glendale started the week with at 5-3 win at Grossmont Tuesday and win at Oxnard 10-6 Thursday.

Against Palomar, Sammy Martinez and Sean Harris had doubles with the blow by Harris giving the Vaqs a 5-2 lead In the sixth inning when Glendale scored three times. But Palomar came back to tie the game in the sixth after GCC went ahead 6-2 and the game was back and forth until Palomar took control in the late stages.

Tobias Plotkin got the start and Ethan Durant took the loss after surrendering four runs in the sixth inning. 

Glendale comes back home four games this week hosting Chaffey and Oxnard Colleges at 2 pm Tuesday February 4 and Friday Feb. 7 and plays two games at home Saturday Feb. 8 starting with Cerritos at 1 pm and then closing out the week hosting Pasadena at 7 pm. All games are played at Stengel Field at 1601 Canada Blvd., directly across the street from Glendale College.
