The Falcons put a halt to their four-match losing streak on Wednesday night with a straight-set victory over Diablo Valley at Falcon Gym, winning 25-22, 25-11, 25-16. With nearly the entire roster finding some playing time, it was a fun night for the Falcons. As usual, outside hitters Katy Kasparian had a big game, as did Mikayla Ide and middle hitter/blocker Kamilah Smith.
After going through the first half of the Big 8 schedule with a 1-7 record, Falcon coach Molly Hanrahan is hoping her squad will use Wednesday's win as a springboard to an improved second half. They have a favorable schedule ahead, with matches against Cosumnes River (4-5), Modesto (5-4), and Sacramento City (3-6) over the next nine days.
