Sacramento, CA - After the exciting victory against Folsom Lake College, the Hawks returned home in a non-conference matchup. The Hawks (9-4) hosted the visiting Lassen Cougars (0-5) with CRC emerging victorious in a three set sweep (25-14, 25-23, 25-13). The offense led the team to victory with hitting percentages of .333 in the first set and .435 in the third set. The second set, the execution was lacking as the Hawks totaled 10 errors, resulting in a closer score than many would like. Offensive contributions were pretty evenly distributed with Aija Redding leading with 11 kills on .286 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter, Giovanna Parino tallied 20 assists during the match. Serving was a deciding factor for the Hawks as they tallied 13 aces compared to the 1 for the Cougars. Miah Williamson added 5 service aces to her state leading 41 total aces on the season thus far. Along with the aces, Miah Williamson talled 4 blocks (2 solo, 2 assisted). Maddy Motta contributed 3 blocks of her own (1 solo, 2 assisted). 

Up Next - The Hawks (10-4) return to conference play, hosting Diablo Valley College (0-9) on 9/29. No fans are allowed for indoor matches due to District COVID policies.
