The MSJC women's beach volleyball team remained in third place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference standings on Friday as they split a pair of matches with Grossmont and Palomar.

The Eagles lost 4-1 to Grossmont despite picking up a win in the 3's pair.  Kennidy Martin and Laelanie Isbell were the only Eagles to pick up a win as they battled to a three set victory 23-21, 18-21, and 15-7.

MSJC bounced back in their second match of the day and downed Palomar for the second straight week winning 4-1.  The match was a little closer than the final team score showed as three of the matches went 3 sets.  Alicia Vasquez and Mckenna Conklin set the tone for the Eagles as they won their #1's match 18-21, 21-18, and 15-12.  The 2's duo of Trysta Vincelli and Chloe Mata picked up a straight sets win 22-20 and 21-16, Martin and Isbell also won again for the second time on the day.  MSJC picked up their final point in the 5's match where Camryn McCullough and Tracy Blanchard picked up a 21-17, 21-7 straight set victory.

The Eagles are now 10-11 overall on the season and 5-3 in the PCAC standings, they trail only Grossmont at 7-1 and San Diego Mesa at 8-0.  This week the Eagles travel to Mesa to take on the Olympians as well as San Diego City.  Both matches will be on Friday with the first match starting at 9 am.
