Softball Remains Undefeated in BVC Play with Wins over Yuba

Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano softball team remains undefeated in Bay Valley Conference play with wins over Yuba on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons took game one, 10-0 in five innings, and game two 13-5 in six innings.

Freshman Naiya Watts led the Falcon battery in game one with a 2-for-3, both doubles, showing with two runs and four RBI. Freshman Maleah Martinez also earned a double with a pair of RBI. 

In game two, Watts added to her RBI count with three more in a 3-for-5 outing, while freshman Bianca Belo-Daiz also tallied three RBI.

In the circle, Martinez threw a four-hitter with eight strikeouts in game one before freshman Kiera Edwards and Martinez combined in game two for the win with Martinez tossing 2.2 hitless and scoreless innings with five strikeouts.

Solano (10-15, 4-0) opens up April with a single, non-conference contest against San Joquin Delta on Friday, Apr. 1 beginning at 3 p.m.
