Owls Rack Up Goals, Settle for Tie

Citrus College scored three goals but had to settle for a 3-3 tie Tuesday with Ventura College.

The Owls sit at 2-2-2 on the year with the draw, while the Pirates move to 5-2-1.

Abigail Salvador got the Owls on the board first in the 15th minute for her third goal of the season.

The Pirates answered back four minutes later to put the two teams deadlocked at 1-1 at halftime.

Both teams scored twice in the second half, with Berenice Mancinas grabbing both goals for the Owls. She first found the back of the net in the 58th minute and again in the 85th minute.

Ventura managed to equalize just before time expired to steal a win from Citrus.

The Owls are back in action Friday, heading to Pasadena City College for a 4:00 p.m. kick off.
