Jones and Vaefa Fall in Semifinals at CCCAA State Championships

WALNUT, Calif. --- El Camino College's duo of Julia Jones and Kekoa Vaefa saw there outstanding 2022 season come to an end on Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the 2022 California Community College Women's Tennis Doubles State Championships.

The 2022 South Coast Conference champions and the No. 2 seed from the South fell to the North No. 1 seed of Zoe Olmos and Julie Santiago of Chabot College.

Vaefa suffered a cut to her hand and was forced to retire in the second set of the match with the Warriors trailing by a set and 3-2 in the second. Olmos and Santiago would go on to win the CCCAA State Championship.
