Mounties lose to Ventura and Bakersfield, No. 4 pair of Christelman/Thomas continue to roll

(Ventura, CA) The Mt. SAC Beach Volleyball team (1-5) lost to Ventura (4-0) and Bakersfield (1-2), by the scores of 4-1 and 3-2, respectively, on Friday, May 7, at Ventura Harbor.

Against Ventura, the No. 4 pair of Bristol Christelman/Elizabeth Thomas accounted for the Mounties' only team point with a 21-18, 21-8 win.

The same pair won its match in the Bakersfield contest, 21-12, 21-15. The No. 2 pair of Jay Jaramillo/Daniela Serna picked up the other point for Mt. SAC with a 21-6, 21-10 win.

"We are really proud of [Christelman and Thomas] for winning both games again for the second week in a row," said head coach Danielle Diaz.

The Mounties will travel to Ventura Harbor again on Friday, May 14, for contests against Moorpark (1-2) and Ventura at 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., respectively.
