Tiger Baseball Wins Two More To Remain Undefeated

With come from behind victories over Cuesta and Cerro Coso colleges, the Reedley College baseball team improved to 8-0 on the season.
First, the Tigers broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the ninth inning in a 7-4 win over Cuesta in San Luis Obispo on Feb. 8.
Two days later, a five-run seventh inning led to a 12-6 win over Cerro Coso in Reedley.


This week, Reedley hosts Cuesta on Feb. 15 before traveling to Sacramento City on Thursday and then hosting Monterey Peninsula on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Central Valley Conference action begins on Tuesday, Feb. 22 as the Tigers travel to Fresno City for a 3 p.m. contest. The Rams have started 2022 with a 3-3 record.


In the win over Cerro Coso, Jayden Jones improved a 2-0 with four and a third innings without allowing an earned run. Ethan Garcia worked three innings to record the save. Mike Rios drove in five runs with two doubles, a triple, and a single to lead the offense. Orin Hirschkorn added a double and a single while Justin Tiger reached base four times with a single, double, and two walks.

In the win over Cuesta, Nathan Padilla's infield hit led to three runs in the 9th inning. Rios scored two runs while Leo Arreguin and Roman Rosales added two hits.
