Cuesta Women's Soccer dropped its final pre-conference game with a loss to Reedley, 1-0, on the home pitch.  The visiting Tigers scored the only goal of the game just 28 minutes into the first half and despite seven solid shots on goal the Cougars were unable to net the equalizer.  Cuesta's brace of Goalkeepers, 2019 All-WSC First Teamer Magaly Avila (Paso Robles HS) and Freshman Sadie Magpie (Morro Bay HS), held firm in the net for a combined seven saves against Reedley's 13 shots.  The Bengals were one of the more physical opponents the Cougars have faced, and they doubled Cuesta foul total to prove it, 10-5.  The loss drops Cuesta to 1-4 on the season, with the Kickers not earning a victory since opening day.  

Cuesta opens its 2021 Western State Conference Schedule at home next Tuesday (4 PM) against Oxnard.  They also play under the lights at Santa Barbara City's La Playa Stadium on Friday (7 PM) in another WSC match-up.
