Baseball Takes Early Lead But Loses to American River, 6-3

Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman centerfielder Dmitri McLen had a day at the plate to help the Solano baseball team to an early lead, but the Falcons lost to American River, 6-3, on Thursday afternoon.

McLen recorded both of the Falcons' extra base hits with a double and a triple, going 2-for-4 on the day with a run and RBI. Freshman right fielder Cameron Martin also recorded a multi-hit day with a pair of singles and RBI on a 2-for-4 performance.

Sophomore righty Edgar Aqui-Cruz (1-3) was the pitcher of record for Solano, hurling five innings with three earned runs on five hits while fanning five. 

Solano (2-9) heads to American River for the backend of the two-game series on Friday, Feb. 21. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m.
