Women's Soccer gets First Loss against Conference Opponents AVC

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Renegade women's soccer loss their first game on the season in a home matchup against the Antelope Valley College Marauders. AVC handed BC not only their first loss but their first conference loss on Tuesday evening, 1-4.

Both teams played aggressively, sharing equal possession over the ball until the 40th minute when the Gades got on the board first. Forward Crystal Ramos Rosales chipped the ball in with her teammates there in the pack to make sure it wasn't going any where but in. Unfortunately, in just four minutes from that goal AVC would find the back of the net as well and the first half ended, 1-1. Goalkeeper Katelyn Gonzalez had three saves in the first 45 minutes.

With one minute into the first half the Marauders found the net and went ahead 2-1. Gonzalez added another save but AVC pushed harder offensively and scored three more times before the final whistle.

With the loss, BC ends the night 5-1-2. The team will head out on the road and take on Citrus College on Friday before returning home next Tuesday (Oct. 4) to play Santa Monica College at 4pm.
