Softball Comes Up Short in Last Non-Conference Competition

Fresno, Calif. - The Solano softball team came up short in a pair of contests against Fresno, 6-4, and San Jose, 19-4, on Saturday afternoon.

In game one, freshman Daniella Harper led the Falcons at the plate with a 3-for-4 outing, including a double and home run, with a RBI and run scored. Freshmen Naiya Watts and Maleah Martinez paced the Falcon offense in game two with Watts counting a homer and RBI, while Martinez earned a double and RBI. Both recorded multi-hit games.

Martinez and freshman Kiera Edwards both put up complete games in the circle for the Falcons with Martinez allowing six hits, five earned runs, while striking out six. 

Solano (11-21) returns to BVC play, hosting Los Medanos next on Tuesday, Apr. 12 in a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
