Using a variety of superlatives doesn't seem to do justice when describing the success of the 2022 GCC Baseball Team, winners of 12 straight games after beating Citrus College 12-2 on the road Thursday March 31 to extend it's WSC South lead to four games at 11-0 and are 22-5 overall.

They jumped out to a 10-0 lead before Citrus scored in the sixth inning Thursday as starter and winning pitcher Julian Jaramillo (2-0) and relievers Tobias Plotkin and Dylan Goodrich held the Owls at bay by allowing just three hits over nine innings. Six GCC hitters had two hits each with Kenji Pallares leading the way with two hits, both doubles, and drove in a pair and scored once. Brandon Nguyen had two hits including a double, scored three runs and had one RBI, Adrian Gonzalez had two hits including a double and drove in one and scored twice, Alex Mills had two hits including a double and scored twice and drove in one run, Joey Craig had two hits and scored one and had one RBI and Izzy Madariaga had two hits, scored once and had three RBI.

Glendale completes the three-game series against Citrus with a 1 pm home contest Saturday April 2 at Stengel Field. They face College of the Canyons in a three-game series next week.
