(Cypress, CA) Behind a solid offensive attack, host Cypress College (7-2) handed Mt. SAC (7-1) a 15-5 defeat—the Mounties' first of the season—on Friday, Feb. 7.

In spite of the setback, Mt. SAC had impressive performances from several players, including Dylan Zavala (2-3, 2B), Ryan Williams (2-3), Cole Jordan (2-4, RBI, R, HR), and Joe La Fountain (1-2, RBI, R, 2B).

Starter Jacob Kampen (1-1) got the loss, pitching two innings, surrendering three runs, while striking out one.

The Mounties will try to get back on the winning track when they host Los Angeles Pierce College (3-3) on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m.
