The City College of San Francisco closed out a tough 2021 season on a winning note. On Sophomore Night and their regular-season finale, the Rams pulled out a marathon five-set victory over Gavilan College on Tuesday.
Prior to the Coast Conference match, the CCSF women's volleyball program honored its three sophomore: Zaire Best, Zaiah Luna-Calvin, and Suria Asoau.
The Rams sent them out with a hard-fought 17-25, 25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 17-15 win. It was CCSF's second win over Gavilan. In Gilroy on Nov. 4, the Rams also needed five sets to earn the victory.
CCSF ended the year with a 3-17 overall record and went 2-10 in conference play.
