Three different Knights hit home runs in the first two innings on Saturday, including Justin Kerby, Jackson Huntley, and Drew Lazor.
The Knights, who came from behind to win Thursday's game (8-6) at Mesa, put up three runs in the first inning on Saturday afternoon to give them a lead they would not relinquish. With two out, Kerby hit a 2-run home run to left field, his fifth of the season, and Huntley followed with a solo homer to left field, his second of the year.
Lazor led-off the second inning with another solo home run to left field, his first of the year, to give the Knights a 4-0 lead. Later in that inning, Gabriel Jones came home from third base on a fielder's choice to make it a 5-0 advantage.
With two out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 4th, Kerby came through once again with a 2-RBI double to right center to give City a comfortable 7-0 lead.
Meanwhile, Austin Correia had an excellent outing on the mound for the Knights. He pitched a total of seven innings with one earned run, five strikouts, and did not allow a hit until the top of the 6th.
The Knights will now play a 2-game series against No. 14 Palomar. The first game will be at Morley Field on Tuesday, March 8 at 2 p.m. and the second game will be at Palomar on March 10 at 2 p.m.
