Hawks Unable to Find Their Groove, Fall On the Road

Sacramento, CA - The Hawks took to the road to face inter-district opponent American River College. CRC stuggled to get going offensively and defensively after shining in their last match. Awelina Fakalata (#18) for ARC was dominant, hitting .667 with 21 kills which was the offense for ARC. The Hawks combined for 18 kills in the match, led by Aija Redding's 7 kills. Overall the Hawks were only able to hit .065 with 14 errors, preventing any momentum from being gained. On defense, Victoria Espinoza paced the Hawks with 9 digs. Missed serves also hurt the Hawks as they totaled 6 on the match. 

Up Next - The Hawks travel to Modesto to take on the Pirates in a Big 8 Conference matchup. Fans are allowed in Modesto's gym, with the game starting at 6:30 pm.
