Santa Monica, CA - Cypress Beach Volleyball (2-0, 0-0 OEC) defeats Life Pacific College, 3-2 and Santa Monica College, 5-0.

Cypress Beach Volleyball opened their 2023 season with two wins on the sunny afternoon of February 10th. The Chargers beat Life Pacific College 3-2, with multiple games going to three sets. Kailie Tulette and Bethany Mae defeated their opponents, 21-19, 13-21, 15-12. Larissa Samano and Kailee De Wit swept their games, 21-14 and 21-19. Jessica Ferrera and Ashlyn Riddle also swept with final scores of, 21-8 and 21-15. 

Cypress also swept Santa Monica College in their successful double-header on Friday afternoon with a final score of 5-0. Shayna Martinez and Zoe Munn, Kaelyn Arnold and Kiana Salamone, Kaelie Tulette and Bethany Mae, Larissa Samana and Kailee De Wit, and Jessica Ferrera and Ashlyn Riddle all came out with wins. Two of the wins were on Santa Monica College forfeits, but Cypress came away with the sweep.

UP NEXT: Chargers take the road to Long Beach where they will play against Bakersfield and Long Beach CC on Friday, February 24 at 10am and 12pm.
