The No. 5 seeded Hornets took care of visiting Antelope Valley College 4-0 on Saturday in the opening round of the SoCal Regionals.

It was the FC team captain Steve Perez who kicked in the first goal at the 22-minute mark off the feed from Rogelio Silva.

At 56:00, Nima Ahmari put the Hornets up 2-0 with the assist coming from Joseph Espinoza.

Two late goals in the second half sealed the game for Fullerton. Jazey Zavala got the ball past the opposing goalie on Ryan Meinardus' assist, and Pablo Salazar put the finishing touch scoring the fourth unassisted goal in the 80th minute.

FC goalie Andres Ramirez logged his 9th shutout of the season with 5 saves in 90 minutes.
