Compton, Calif. – Sophomore Jacob Perez went 1 for 3 with one double and brought in one RBI during Thursday's match against the Barstow Vikings (5-7), but Compton (1-7) still fell 7-2.

Sophomore Noah Ford also went 1 for 3 and drove in one RBI.

Sophomore Michael Fletcher started on the mound for the Tartars and pitched a total of six innings. During his time on the mound Fletcher collected three strike outs and allowed nine hits, six runs, and walked two.

The Tartars play again at home on February 15, with a double-header against the City College of San Francisco (2-7) with a 3 p.m. start time for the first game.
