SAN MARCOS, CA (11/15/2019) – Men's soccer wrapped up their season on Friday afternoon when they lost to MiraCosta College 3-2 at home.
The Comets had a 1-0 advantage when Arturo Soltero scored on an assist from Christian Bahena at the 32-minute mark. MiraCosta tied it up on a corner kick at the 43-minute mark. Soltero scored another goal at the 61-minute mark, this time on a penalty kick. At the 70-minute mark Anderson Kinsey received a yellow card. MiraCosta tied it up again at the 82-minute mark on a penalty kick and took the lead a minute later on a team goal. In the final minute of the game, Jessi Piazza, Bahena and Soltero all received red cards.
Palomar finished their season 8-8-5 overall and 4-5-3 in conference play. The team finished in fouth place in conference behind Cuyamaca, San Diego City and MiraCosta.
